I have been on a lot of trips, to a lot of different places. It’s hard to decide which one meant the most to me. Since I have to pick just one, I guess I’ll go with my trip to New York. In July of 2007, my dad and I went to New York. We were there about a week, and there was so much to do, in so little time. I had just bought a new camera; and good thing I did because I took hundreds of pictures.
We left for New York after dinner and got there in time for breakfast! We ate at this amazing place in New Jersey, the Brownstone Diner and Pancake Factory. It was so delicious! Then we drove into the city and the skyscrapers were masked by the morning fog. We checked into our hotel and went out on the town! During that week the only time spent in the hotel was to sleep. We went to Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park, Little Italy, Greenwich Village, etc. In Greenwich Village we found the best restaurant in the world, The Cornelia Street Café.
The best part of the whole trip was taking the subway to the Bronx for the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox 4th of July series. It was my first and last time in Old Yankee Stadium. After the game on the 4th we saw the fireworks in Manhattan. It was a very memorable trip; I’m just going to stop myself right now because I could go on about it forever!
I have never been to New York but I want to go there.
