Blog 45: Job

I really need to start looking for a summer job. I’m kind of nervous that I won’t be able to find anything that’s seasonal. I would like it to start right around the middle of June and end around the middle of September. I know that’s kind of unrealistic, but boy would it be nice! If the stars align and everything works out; I will find a job that has something to do with children. I guess now would be a good time to tell you that I want to be a teacher.
Anyway, if it started in the middle of June then after exam week, I could go visit my grandma out in Arizona for a week. I always go see my grandma during the summer and I know that if I start working before I go visit I may not be able to get time off. However, there is another road block because my mom and step dad’s birthday is June 13th. Now, if exams are over on June 9th and I leave on the 10th and come back around the 17th or 18th I will get to see my grandma, but I will miss their birthday! Also, my nephew’s first birthday is the 23rd so I really can’t miss that.
It’s all such a mess! It’s like no matter what I do I’m going to miss something: seeing my grandma, my mom and step dad’s birthday, and possibly my nephew’s birthday if I have work that day.

  2. I'm also eager to have a part time job, but I think I will apply it for the spring quarter; thus I can go back to my hometown during the summer. Miss my parents and friends so much! >_<
